Last week we had a half-day workshop with 4 lovely singers (below). It was a great pleasure for me to see students I have worked with for anything from 1 month to 2 years grow in musicianship and share music together.
I think we all were moved to tears by the performances, with a particular call out to Iris singing “Smile” by Charlie Chaplin (lyrics by John Turner and Geoffrey Parsons) which really gave me goosebumps! It has been beautiful to see you all connecting with yourselves through music and singing for yourselves, instead of worrying about what others think of you; it makes all the difference if you can feel good in yourselves and well done for getting there!
Thanks for a fantastic workshop day girls, and to all my other talented students who couldn´t make it to the workshop. I will miss you in England!
